Nitrous

I'm very pleased to announce a new collaborative album by me and Don Campau called "Nitrous"!

Last year, I was inspired after seeing some of Don's great, abstract collage/paintings to reach out to Don about a potential collaboration. Don and I have known each other for decades via the mail/cassette network, but have never collaborated before! My initial idea was that one of Don's artworks would make a great cover for a collection of abstract, electronic soundscapes. So, I proposed that he and I should work on something along those lines and, happily, Don agreed. Of course, life got in the way. The project was somewhat derailed when my partner Sherri and I were evicted in 2024...and then there were all the problems with the new apartment in 2025. Still, Don and I managed to trade sounds here and there and enough material was generated over the past year, that Don was able to put this album together. This is definitely one of those collaborations that took on a life of its own and ended up being something neither of us fully anticipated...the most enjoyable and fruitful type of collaboration, in my opinion!

Don recruited his friend Eric Hausmann to help with mastering, and another friend Dave Stroud to do graphic design on the cover (cover art by Don Campau, naturally). The album looks and sounds great!

"Nitrous" is available exclusively on Bandcamp and is available for free or PWYW. Check it out here -
